It’s also home to the dedicated farmers who are committed to caring for every plantation, vine, pod and flower to produce this most sought-after spice. In Madagascar, the art of growing vanilla is a way of life.

Our Vannosy adventure started as we explored every inch of Madagascar, by boat, truck, bike and on foot. We travelled through rainforests, fields and over mountains.

It was in Mananara that we found the most skilled vanilla farmers who process and prepare the best quality vanilla with a supreme flavour.

Origins of Vannosy, why Mananara?

The magic of Madagascar is where Vannosy started. Struck by its beauty, culture and incredible, organic vanilla, we strive to share this with the world.

Our search for vanilla took us to the remote Mananara in Madagascar. It is here that we partnered with third-generation vanilla farmers with their wealth of expertise!

Mananara is situated on the coast of the Indian Ocean, making it an ideal spot for growing healthy vanilla vines. This isolated region is also safe from the well-known issue of vines being looted. Without fear of losing their prized vanilla pods, our farmers aren’t tempted to pick the pods before they are ripe –ensuring the pods are grown to perfection.

At Vannosy we are at the heart of the vanilla production and support our experienced farmers every step of the way, from the flower to the cured pods. We then package and export our top quality organic, natural vanilla worldwide.
